PORTLAND, Ore. – The College of Idaho’s Katie Zillner and Oregon Tech’s Brittany Warren, for the second week in a row, have been named Cascade Collegiate Conference Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, the league office announced Monday.

Zillner tallied her third Softball Pitcher of the Week award of the season as she helped guide the ‘Yotes to a 4-0 record this week with wins over 20th-ranked Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon University. Zillner racked up two wins and a save in her three appearances over the weekend. The 5-9 senior flame-thrower from Emmett, Idaho added 18 strikeouts to give her 192 on the season. Zillner was also named as NAIA Region I Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Warren, a 5-5 junior outfielder from Longview, Wash., helped the Owls to a 4-2 week, as Oregon Tech claimed another Cascade Conference championship and hosting rights to the NAIA Region I Softball Tournament, held May 8-10. Warren hit .526, going 10-of-19 from the plate, with four doubles, two homers, and driving in 11 runs. Warren also claimed another NAIA Region I Player of the Week award
