COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- Concordia's Lindsay Aho shot an second round 6-over 78 to move into the top five and leads the contingent of Cascade Collegiate Conference players at the 2008 NAIA Region I Tournament at the Coeur d'Alene Golf Club.

After the opening round, Aho sat in a tie for eighth after carding a 9-over 81 before shooting the conference-low of the two-day event.

Rounding out the Cascade Collegiate Conference top five are Concordia's Kim Tilton (16-over 160), Concordia's Kim Lindow (19-over 163), Northwest Christian's Ashley King (24-over 168), and Concordia's Amy Esmeier (26-over 170).

The overall leader after Day #1 is Kaitlin Troop of the University of British Columbia with a combined 7-over 151, which leads the tournament by four strokes over fellow T-bird teammate Alyssa Human and Rocky Mountain's Rachel Warren heading into today's final round.

After the opening round, British Columbia leads Rocky Mountain by 24 strokes (624-648) with Concordia sitting third, a mere four strokes behind the Bears.

Concordia leads the conference contingent ahead of Northwest Christian, who combined to shoot an opening day 204-over 708 to sit seventh overall. Northwest Christian leads Corban by 35 strokes after the opening day, as the Warriors are in eighth place overall.

The third and final round will be played on Tuesday, April 29th, beginning at 8:00 a.m. with a shotgun start.
