Concordia Grabs Day One Lead as Austin Shoots One-Over
BLUE RIVER, Ore. - Tyler Austin shot an even par-72 in the first round and hit a 73 in round two of the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament at Tokatee Golf Course on Monday, leading Concordia University to a 32-stroke lead after the first 36 holes. The Cavaliers head into the final round at 604 after a 299 second round.
Corban College is second at 636 with even rounds of 318 on day one. The Warriors were led by a 4-over 76-79=155 from Ben Sisler who is sixth overall. Northwest Christian College follows in third place, ten shots behind the Warriors, behind the strength of top-five finishes from Justin Ahrens (74-76=150, 2nd) and Brent McKee (77-76=153, T-4th).
The College of Idaho rests in fourth place through the first round, led by a 12th-place finish for Ben Coate (85-76=161).
The fourth regular-season Cascade Conference tournament concludes on Tuesday morning with tee-times beginning just before 8:00 am.
