Incoming freshman and current Centennial HS senior Chris Dudley has signed to tee it up for Warriors next season.
Corban Signs Dudley as Second Recruit for Next Season
SALEM, Ore. – Third-year head coach Ron Sisler announced today the signing of current Centennial High School senior Chris Dudley (Boise, Idaho) to a Letter of Intent making him the second official signed recruit that will be teeing it up for the Warriors next season.
Dudley will come to Corban in the fall after competing for the past three seasons at Centennial High School in Boise, Idaho. The 6-foot-3 incoming freshman is currently ranked 26th in the state of Idaho among all junior players 17-and-older.
"Chris is going to be a great addition to our program," stated Sisler. "As a freshman, he will add a lot to our program due to his junior golf experience as well as his desire to improve each and every time he steps on the course."
During the 2007 spring high school season, Dudley took medalist honors in a home match against Timberline after shooting a 1-over 37 before finishing fourth overall at the state tournament. Along with his individual honors during the '07 season, Dudley helped lead the Patriots to a runner-up finish at the district meet thanks to a 2-over 74 that placed him in the top ten individually.
Along with his high school experience, Dudley competed at the junior golf level during the summer of 2007 and concluded the season by winning the PNGA Boys' Junior Amateur Championship. After tying for 75th overall and qualifying in the 6th flight, Dudley rebounded from a quarterfinal defeat to capture the flight championship defeating top-seeded Alirenza Harandi of Vancouver, Wash., 4 & 3.
Dudley also carded a pair of top-ten finishes during the summer season, as he finished tied for fifth (2-over 74) at Desert Canyon Golf Course in Mountain Home, Idaho, and sixth (4-over 76) at Shadow Valley Golf Course in Eagle, Idaho.
Dudley becomes the third freshman that plans to tee it up for the Warriors next season joining fellow incoming freshmen Joey Duwe (Kingston, Wash.) and Boe Brodhun (Port Angeles, Wash.).
The Warriors plan to begin the 2008-09 season at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Qualifier #1 hosted by Northwest Christian College on September 15th & 16th at Tokatee Golf Course in Blue River, Oregon.
