Six Conference Golfers Highlight '08 Daktronics-NAIA Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Six Cascade Collegiate Conference men's golfers were named as part of the 94-player Daktronics-NAIA Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete team Thursday, as announced by the NAIA's Kansas City-based national office.

In the midst of the 2008 Men's Golf NAIA Championship, this season's scholar-athlete team was announced with Corban College leading the Cascade Collegiate Conference contingent. The College of Idaho placed a pair of players on the team, while Concordia University had a single golfer listed.

The national office requirements were that each player must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.

Corban's Wade Douglas, Josh Greenslade, and Nathan Furumasu were named as members of the team, along with C of I's Ben Coate and Cris Tietsort as well as Concordia's A.J. Lightheart.
