PORTLAND, Ore. –Josh Burris, a senior at Heritage High School in Vancouver, Wash., has signed to continue his education and compete in track and cross country at Concordia University, Cavalier head coach Randy Dalzell announced this week.

Burris is a three-time all-league cross country runner for the Timberwolves and has qualified for the state championship in cross country three seasons. On the track, Burris holds personal records of 4:33 in the 1,600 and 9:51 in the 3,200.

“Josh is one of the top cross country runners in the Portland/Vancouver area as well as a fine track and field athlete,” Dalzell said. “He is a team leader with a great work ethic and he will be a welcome addition to our men’s distance group.”

Josh is the son of Peggy and Bill Burris and plans to major in business administration at Concordia.
