PORTLAND, Ore. – Twin Falls High School senior Erica Ford has signed to continue her education and play volleyball at Concordia University, Cavalier coach Christopher Duenow announced this week.

The 5-foot-6 Ford will be looked at for a defensive specialist role after a standout senior campaign as an outside hitter.

“The big thing that jumped out right away when we saw her play is that technically she's incredibly sound. She really fits into the style of play and the defensive systems we work in,” Duenow said. “She’s a competitor and I think she’s a great fit for the university and an equally great fit for the volleyball program.”

Ford earned second-team Region Four-Five-Six after her senior year as well as being named team MVP for the Bruins. Ford also attended Kamiakin High School and Southridge High School in Kennewick, Wash.

Erika is the daughter of Deanne and Bryan Ford and plans to major in business marketing at Concordia.
