C of I Duo to Anchor NAIA World Series Television Coverage
LEWISTON, Idaho -- Longtime College of Idaho radio broadcasters Dave Hahn and Mike Safford will be anchoring the television coverage of the 52nd Annual Avista NAIA World Series, beginning Friday morning here at Harris Field.
Hahn, currently a major gifts officer at The C of I , and Safford, the sports information director for the Coyotes, will handle play-by-play duties on www.watchnaia.com, with the games simulcast on local cable and on CBS affiliate KLEW.
Hahn, who helped with the radio coverage of the event in the 1990's, was Voice of the Coyotes from 1983-1998. He has also spent time as the radio voice of the Northwest League's Boise Hawks (1992-94) and Eugene Emeralds (1996-98) in minor league baseball, and was the original voice of the Idaho Stampede, currently of the NBADL. Hahn was also a long-time network voice of the NAIA Division II men's basketball tournament during its stay in Nampa.
Safford, who is handling TV coverage from Lewiston for the second-straight year, has been the Voice of the Coyotes since 2001 and is currently in his fourth season as the broadcaster of the Boise Hawks in the Northwest League.
The World Series begins Friday at 8:30 a.m. (PDT) and can be viewed online for a nominal fee.
