SALEM, Ore. – Second-year head coach Heather Dunn announced today the signing of incoming sophomore transfer Rebecca Franke (Pendleton, Ore.) and incoming freshman Megan Dees (Tehachapi, Calif.) to Letters of Intent, as Corban's volleyball has now signed five players for the upcoming 2008 season.

Franke, who is the younger sister of former Warrior and current assistant softball coach Beth Mayben, comes to Corban after playing one season at Blue Mountain Community College. While representing to Timberwolves, Franke appeared in 53 games and registered a team-high 437 digs. The 5-foot-4 libero also lead Blue Mountain and the Northwest Athletic Association of Community College (NWAACC) in digs per game with an average of 8.25. Franke was named East Region Defensive Player of the Week on September 18, 2007 during only her second week as a collegiate volleyball player. The first-year player concluded her lone season as a Timberwolf by being named the team's best digger and best server.

Dees, a 2008 graduate of Tehachapi High School, helped guide the Warriors to a 28-5-1 win-loss record that included a 8-2 win-loss in South Sequoia League (SSL). Dees and Tehachapi High School concluded the season as runner-ups in CIF Division III after finishing second in the SSL. The 5-foot-8 setter registered a team-best 394 assists to go along with 86 digs, 52 services aces (2nd on the team), and 21 blocks (4th on the team). Dees averaged 5.5 assists, 0.7 service aces, and 0.7 kills per game as a senior while earning team Most Valuable Player (MVP) and most spirited honors. Dees was also named South Sequoia League co-MVP, while earning 1st team all-league recognition and honorable mention all-area.

"I am excited to add both Rebecca and Megan to our program next season," said Dunn. "Their experience playing with winning programs let's them know what it takes to go the extra mile, to be successful, and how to win."

The aforementioned duo joins former California Baptist University transfer Rachel Gowen (Oregon City, Ore.), Santiam Christian High School graduate Tiffany Land (Independence, Ore.), and current Corban senior Tiffany Loughridge (Sherwood, Ore.), who will be playing her first season for the Warriors.

The quintet will join six returning players that will look to improve from last season's 12-14 overall mark, as well as looking to better the team's 10-10 conference win-loss record that placed Corban fifth in the final standings.
