PORTLAND, Ore. - Curtis Fisher of Sherwood High School has signed a letter of intent becoming the latest addition to the Cascade Track and Cross Country program.

Curtis is a two time State Championship qualifier in the jumps and capped off a tremendous senior Track & Field season by winning the State Championship in the triple jump and earning 3rd in the long jump.  Sherwood Head Track Coach T. Smith noted, "Curtis is a great kid that really figured it out his senior year and should be even better at the college level."   The two podium finishes earned Curtis 16 points making him one of the highest point earners in the meet leading the Sherwood Bowmen to a top 5 team finish.

"Curtis will redshirt with the Cross Country team to build his fitness base," Cascade Coach Bryant Howard said, "we're hopeful that with some support in the off season he'll be able to compete for a conference championship next spring and get near the auto-qualifying mark for Nationals."

Fisher's athletic resume includes PR's in 7 different events showing a versatility that will make him a valuable addition to the Cascade program.

Curtis is the son of Sherrie Halter and Morris "Red" Fisher.
