SOU Athletics Launches SOURAIDERS.COM
Ashland, Oregon (July 28, 2008) -- The Southern Oregon University Athletic Department announced today that it has launched www.souraiders.com, the new official web site of SOU Athletics.
The site, developed by Internet Consulting Services (ICS), replaces www.sousports.com. You will now get re-directed to www.souraiders.com if you visit the old site.
“Getting this new site was key as we continue to try and stay in the forefront of the intercollegiate world,” SOU Athletic Director Dennis Francois said. “The former site (done by Ashland’s Project A) was very successful for many years, however in today’s intercollegiate athletic climate our needs grew to a more specialized athletic web site.”
The new site, which will continue to develop and get more features as the Fall Sports Season approaches, give Raider fans, alumni, parents and recruits more information and more options to become involved in SOU Athletics.
Some new interactive features include player bios, better exposure for the SOU Athletic teams and our corporate partners, as well as improved live stats and other multimedia options.
ICS key technology is SIDEARM (Sports Information Distribution Engine with Archives and Records Management) is a web-based content management solution that includes everything from press release and roster management, dynamic scoreboards, sponsorship recognition, interactive polls, SIDEARM STATS (live in-game statistics), streaming audio and video, and newsletter and recruiting components.
ICS has a client list that includes over 170 athletic clients from around the country including Cornell University, Davidson College, Drexel University, Eastern Michigan University, Eastern Illinois University, the University of Hawaii, Syracuse University and many other NCAA DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, NJCAA and collegiate conferences. ICS has a staff of approximately a dozen developers who possess a variety of expertise in graphic design, database management, information security management, web-based user interface design, and e-commerce business transaction management.
