Owls Continue Dominance Over Simpson

Redding, Calif. – After a sluggish start in game one, the Oregon Tech volleyball team improved their overall record to 2-1 after winning their second consecutive match of the season over Simpson University, tonight on the road in four sets (11-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-15).

Senior setter Lizzie Law (Kennewick, WA) finished the evening with a career high 36 assists and a team high 11 digs to go along with five aces tonight to lead Tech in the win. Megan Christensen (SO. Klamath Falls, OR) also contributed a career high for the Owls with 14 kills. Outside hitters Krista Wooley (SR. Reedsport, OR) and Nicole Andrews (SR. Chehalis, WA) both totaled 11 kills each in the win. Wooley added 10 digs for Tech, followed by Katy Nelson (FR. Klamath Falls, OR) with nine digs on the night.

The Owls will conclude their non-conference schedule when they travel to Las Vegas participating in the 2008 Las Vegas Blast Tournament over the Labor Day weekend, playing Pacific Union College and Huntington University, IN on Friday, August 29th and NCAA III Albion College and NCAA II Northern State University on Saturday, August 30th.
