Concordia Opens Home Season with Fairfield Inn and Suites Volleyball Tournament on Friday
PORTLAND, Ore.— Concordia University will open its 2008 home season while hosting the Fairfield Inn and Suites Portland-North Harbour Invitational Volleyball Tournament on Aug. 29-30.
In its 10th year, the tournament will feature five teams in nine matches over the course of the two days of competition.
Holy Names University (Oakland, Calif.), Lewis-Clark State (Lewiston, Idaho), Montana State-Northern (Havre, Mont.) and Northwest University (Kirkland, Wash.) will join the host Cavaliers to give the tournament representation from five different states.
The tournament will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday with Holy Names facing Northwest University. The host Cavaliers will square off against MSU-Northern at 12:15 p.m. before a match with reigning Frontier Conference champion Lewis-Clark State in the final match of the evening at 7:30 p.m. Concordia will return on Saturday to take on Holy Names at 7 p.m.
Cost of daily admission to the tournament will be $7 for adults and $4 for students and seniors. Concordia students and children under 12 will receive free admission.

2:30 p.m. – LC State – Holy Names
5 p.m. – Northwest vs. MSU Northern
7:30 p.m. – Concordia vs. LC State
Saturday, August 30
9:30 a.m. – Holy Names vs. MSU Northern
11:45 a.m. – LC State – Northwest
3:30 p.m. – LC State vs. MSU Northern
