Lauren Robideau does it again.

LA GRANDE, Ore. -- Lauren Robideau does it again! After battling in the midfield at the start of the game, the Mountaineers finally broke free, connecting with their passes and pushing the ball up field against the University of Great Falls today. In the 36th minute of the game, Robideau beat her defender off the dribble scoring the Mounties first goal of the game. Lauren turned around and scored again just before the half, off an assist from Haley Bohnet. This is Robideau's fifth goal of the season. The Mounties entered the half 2-0. Lauren Souza noted on the EOU's first half play, "We looked to utilized out defense to our advantage and spread our wings out wide."

EOU started the second half with poise and patients. Kami Hernandez used her speed early on to create a great shot on goal, but the Argonauts goalkeeper barely got a hand on the ball. Just minutes later Hernandez utilized her speed to get to a ball that was sent up field from mid-fielder Courtney Gaskell. Hernandez got another great look on goal, but once again the Argonauts goalkeeper deflected the ball, but this time Tennly Paul-Bowden to get a foot on it and send it connecting with the net. The Mountaineers finished 3-0. Hernandez noted on the success of today, "Our team had good communication all over the field and our goal was to play as a team for all ninety minutes." Assistant Coach Kristen Rice noted on today's game, "We came out strong with the right mindset and found the open person." The Mounties showed great consistency, speed, and hustle out of the field today. The Mountaineers will travel to Phoenix, Arizona September 17th and 18th to play Embry-Riddle Aeronautics and College of Sante Fe.
