LA GRANDE, Ore. - The Eastern Oregon University (8-5, 4-2 CCC) volleyball team got back to their winning ways Friday night when they cruised passed Northwest Christian (3-9, 0-5 CCC) in three games.

After losing in four games Tuesday night at The College of Idaho the Mounties came out focused. The visiting Beacons did not threaten in any of the three sets (25-15, 25-15, 25-14).

The CCC's raining Libero of the Week Sareena Simpson was impressive as the senior from Meridian, Idaho tallied 16 digs in the three short sets. High flying junior Grace Deboodt led all players with 11 Kills hitting at a .417 clip while freshman Jessica Lea and Emily Sampson dished out a combined 27 assists.

EOU's defense held the Beacons to a waif like .052 hitting percentage on the night.

Head Coach Kaki McLean could not have been happier about her teams performance, "I think a win like this puts us back on the road to where we want to be."

The Mountaineers have Saturday night off but return to action next weekend when they travel to the greater Seattle area for a couple of conference matches against Northwest University and Evergreen State College.
