C of I Soccer Earns 4-1 Win at Oregon Tech
Box Score
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Antonio Bautista had a pair of goals and The College of Idaho men's soccer team limited Oregon Tech to just six shots on the afternoon, as the Yotes completed a perfect road trip with a 4-1 victory at Trevor Darrah Field.
Bautista got the Coyotes (3-2-1, 2-0-0 CCC) on the board in the 13th minute, as he got in behind the Owls defense and was pulled down in the box by Tech keeper Travis Bille, resulting in a penalty kick - which the junior converted.
Before the 1-on-1 attempt, OIT's Devon Torrey was issued a red card, forcing the first-year program to play a man down the rest of the way. The C of I took advantage, getting an unassisted Esteban Cabrera goal in the 40th minute and a nifty Bautista goal in the 53rd minute to make it 3-0.
The Owls (1-6-1, 0-2-0) avoided the shutout in the 70th minute on a Dylan Durrell score, but just 30-seconds later, the Yotes were awarded a second penalty kick, which Jesus Lopez converted to make it 4-1.
The Coyotes held a 27-6 edge in total shots and a commanding 14-4 edge in corner kicks.
Next week, the Yotes continue their road trip, heading to the Seattle area for matches at Evergreen State and Northwest.
