KIRKLAND, Wash. - The NU Eagles shut out The Evergreen State College, 2-0, in Cascade Conference play in Kirkland tonight.

Senior Shauna Marshall (Bothell, Wash.) put Northwest U. (2-1-2, 1-0 CCC) in the lead late in the first half (43:54) as she put one through the goal on an assist by sophomore midfielder Brittany Clayberg (Snohomish, Wash.). NU's defense held Evergreen State scoreless and Brittney Marshall (Jr., Monroe, Wash.) put the game away at the 86:34 mark with her goal on Brittany Clayberg's second assist on the night.

NU's Jessica Kane (Freshman, Issaquah, Wash.) earned the shutout victory in goal for the Eagles and recorded 2 saves for the game, while Evergreen State (1-5-1, 0-1 CCC) goalkeeper, Sonya Daisley-Harrison (Sophomore, Maple Valley, Wash.) had 5 saves for the Geoducks. Northwest's defense limited ESC to 6 shots on the night while chalking up 12 shots of their own.

The Eagles will host Eastern Oregon University on September 26 and the College of Idaho on September 27 in two more conference games in Kirkland next weekend.
