Warner Pacific improved to a .231 hitting rate in the second set, after a -.103 in the first, but could not keep pace with the Cavaliers, who fired for a .391 clip with four kills coming via Mariana Toscano and three from Jamie Richards.
Trailing by as many as six points in the decisive third set, the nights cut the deficit to two with the score 22-20, but the Cavs responded late with three of the final four points to prevent a fourth frame.

“Our outside hitters did a great job of executing our game plan and finding ways to terminate,” Concordia head coach Christopher Duenow said. “It was important for us to be dialed in defensively and I thought we did a nice job of converting points out or defensive play.”
The Cavaliers return to action on Saturday, Sept. 27 when they host Cascade College at 7 p.m.
