KIRKLAND, Wash. - The College of Idaho (Caldwell, ID) defeated Northwest University, 2-1, in men's soccer today at Lake Washington High School to remain unbeaten in Cascade Conference play and on top of the South Division with a 4-0 record.

After a scoreless first half, C of I (5-2-1, 4-0 CCC) got on the scoreboard with Garga Caserta's goal off his corner kick at the 53:06 mark. Brad Byer clinched the victory for the Coyotes when he put in the rebound off his own penalty kick into the goal (72:27) and past Eagle goalkeeper, Kyle Wall (Jr., Seattle, Wash.)

"We did not play well tonight, behind the play all night," stated head coach Gary McIntosh. "If we expect to do well in the Cascade Conference, we'll need to learn that we cannot take a night off. Not to take anything away from C of I as they got the win because they out hustled us. We will take a few needed days off and regroup on Tuesday," McIntosh concluded.

Northwest U. (4-4-2, 2-1 CCC) scored late in the second half as Micah Williams' (Senior, Sacramento, Calif.) free kick got past the goalkeeper for the score (89:45).

The Eages will now play on the road five of the seven remaining season games. NU will take on #18 Concordia and Cascade in Portland on October 3 and 4.
