CALDWELL, Idaho - A pair of first half goals were enough for visiting Rocky Mountain College, as the Bears spoiled the 2008 home opener for The College of Idaho women's soccer team, blanking the Yotes, 2-0, at Symms Field.

Rocky (3-2) got on the board in the 18th minute, as Anna Clark took a through-ball from Abby Jenkins down the right side that eluded The C of I defense, and beat keeper Sadie Hughes to make it 1-0.

The Bears would make it 2-0 ten minutes later, as Chloe Pennisi corraled a loose ball just outside of the 18, turned and looped a shot into the net.

The Coyotes (2-2) had their best chances in the second half, as in 47th minute, Chelsea Heffner received a through-ball and was in space, but Bears keeper Vanessa Peters thwarted the 1-on-1 chance - one of her nine saves. In the 77th minute, the Yotes peppered the goal during a scrum, but shots by Heffner and Jamie Reichel were blocked.

Rocky will meet Eastern Oregon tomorrow at Symms Field at 2 p.m., while the Lady Yotes will wait until next Friday, when they play host to Great Falls at 2 p.m.
