Owls Fall 5-1 to Great Falls
NEWBERG, Ore. – University of Great Falls scored three first half goals, on their way to handing Oregon Tech a disappointing 5-1 loss in a non-conference men’s soccer match Monday afternoon at Morse Field.
Great Falls controlled the game from the onset, finding the back of the net five times on 10 shots on goal compared to only four shots on goal for the Owls.
UGF converted their first goal on a penalty kick from Kantay Locoh at the 18 minute mark to gain the first lead of the game and went into halftime up 3-0. Locoh scored his third goal of the game, making it 4-0 before Tech’s lone score came with 61:21 on the clock, when Leo Keiser converted on an assist from Devin Torrey, making it 4-1. Locoh, unstoppable from the onset, then scored his fourth goal of the game 30 seconds later as Great Falls went on to win by the final of 5-1.
Oregon Tech (1-3-1) will try to redeem an earlier loss over Simpson University, when they travel to Redding, Calif. on Saturday, September 13th for the non-conference match-up.
