KIRKLAND, Wash. - #15 ranked College of Idaho won their 15th game in a row as they soundly defeated Northwest University, 80-52, in Cascade Conference play tonight.

The Eagles stayed close in the first half as Erika Hornyak (Soph., Everett, Wash.) put NU up 13-10 with 11:58 to go in the first half, but C of I would come back to tie it up at 13 a piece and take the lead, 14-13 on two free throws by ShaNae Horner. C of I would never trail after that point and would build their lead to 18 (39-21) on Katie Strunk's (Jr., Shoshone, Idaho) two free throws with 2:58 left in the half. Two more free throws by Horner with 19 seconds left would give the Yotes a commanding 45-26 lead going into the locker room.

The second half would see C of I continue to pull away from the Eagles as they would increase their lead to 25 points, 55-30 with 15:17 to go in the game. C of I's biggest lead would come at the 12:04 mark as they would pull ahead 61-30 as they would cruise to their fifteenth straight victory.

Northwest U. (5-12, 3-5 CCC) was led by seniors Dani Drivstuen (Monroe, Wash.) and Brittany Bowsher (Issaquah, Wash.) who both finished with 9 points. The Eagles had a game high 31 turnovers against the pressure defense of C of I. NU was held to 23% shooting on the night by C of I's defense.

College of Idaho (15-1, 6-0 CCC) was led by Nicole Gall's (Soph., Boise, Idaho) game high 20 points. The transfer from Santa Clara added 6 rebounds. Senior ShaNae Horner (West Jordan, Utah) added 15 points for the Coyotes from Caldwell, Idaho. C of I out rebounded NU 53 to 45 including 19 offensive boards. C of I shot 37% from 2-point range and 40% from beyond the 3-point arc.

The Eagles will play Monday at 4 p.m. as they host Eastern Oregon in the Pavilion in a game re-scheduled due to the closure of the major highways coming into the Seattle area. The College of Idaho will face Evergreen State College in Olympia on Sunday in a re-scheduled game.
