Lady Yotes Win 16th Straight, 83-67 at Evergreen
OLYMPIA, Wash. - Nicole Gall led five College of Idaho players in double figures with 27 points, as the Lady Yotes ran their school record win streak to 16 games with an 83-67 victory at Evergreen State, tonight in the CRC Gymnasium.
The No. 15 ranked Lady Yotes (16-1, 7-0 CCC) battled the turnover bug in the first half, committing 14 miscues and held a 44-38 lead at the break. However a 7-0 run to open the second half got The C of I rolling, helping the visitors coast to the win.
Gall connected on five three point baskets in the victory, while adding six rebounds. Christon Vander Esch had a double-double, 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Coyotes. Katee Brewer scored a season-high 12, with Whitney Owen and Meghan Hughes each tallying ten.
Kristi Auckland had 16 points and 15 rebounds in the loss for the Geoducks (7-8, 2-6), with Jeannette Owens leading Evergreen with a season-high 17 points.
The Lady Yotes return to action on Friday night, hosting No. 20 ranked Concordia at 5:30 p.m. to begin a three-game homestand.
