PORTLAND, Ore. – Craig McGee, a 6-7 junior forward who averaged a double-double in helping College of Idaho to a 3-0 record, has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in men’s basketball.

McGee, from Boise, Idaho, averaged 15.3 points and 10.0 rebounds as the red-hot Yotes posted victories over No. 19 Eastern Oregon, No. 15 Evergreen and a Northwest team that was receiving votes in the NAIA’s Top 25 poll.

In an 85-81 overtime victory over EOU, McGee had 15 points, six re bounds, four assists and two steals. He added 17 points and 12 rebounds in a 73-57 road win over Northwest, then concluded his stellar week with a 14-point, 12-rebound performance in a 71-69 win over Evergreen in which he scored the winning basket at the buzzer.

The Yotes, who stretched their winning streak to four straight, are 9-8 overall and 5-2 in the CCC.
