EOU Women Win 3rd Straight
LA GRANDE, Ore. - The Mountaineers came out with a different line-up tonight against the Wolves of Walla Walla University. The game got off to the slow start putting the Mounties down 5-0, until mid-way through the first half; Eastern started playing together and took the lead. Eastern continued to gain momentum and never looked back. EOU went into intermission ahead 34-19.
Walla Walla came out the second half ready to play, gaining momentum early; however EOU didn't back down and stayed in control. Eastern sealed the game by defeating the Wolves 78-56.
Eastern Oregon's Kathleen Luce came ready to play and had a game-high for the Mountaineers with 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals. Freshman Jessica Lea and Sasha Valdez chipped in 11 points apiece. Valdez also had a game-high 5 assists.
This is the third consecutive win for the Mountaineers (10-4, 5-2 CCC), after beating The Evergreen State College and Northwest University this weekend. The Mountaineers will be back in action this weekend, here at Quinn Coliseum, Friday and Saturday night against Corban College and Concordia University; both games are set for 5:30p.m.
