PORTLAND, Ore. – Ben Pawlak, a 6-1 senior guard from Cascade College, has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in men’s basketball.

Pawlak, from Seattle, keyed the Thunderbirds’ impressive home sweep of No. 1-ranked Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon last weekend. Against the top-ranked Hustlin’ Owls, Pawlak had 24 points, eight rebounds, four assists and one steal as Cascade posted a come-from-behind 76-72 win, handing OIT only its second loss in 19 games to that point.

IN a 100-99 win over SOU the following night, Pawlak had 21 points, including the game-winning shot in overtime.

For the week, Pawlak averaged 22..5 points and 4.5 rebounds.
