C of I Gets Revenge Versus Cascade

PORTLAND, Ore. - A strong first half propelled College of Idaho over Cascade 83-67 in men's hoops action tonight in CCC play. The Coyotes (12-9, 8-3 CCC) avenged a loss to the Thunderbirds (11-8, 4-7 CCC) just three days earlier in Caldwell.
A focused 'Yote team jumped out to an 18-4 lead on a flat-footed Cascade team, and then withstood every T-Bird attempt to make a run in forging a 46-29 lead at the break.
The second half saw C of I stretch their lead out to game high 31 points on a Terriel Thomas score. Cascade began to play with more intensity and manged to cut the deficit to 80-65 on a Josh Brown trey with 1:56 to play, but could draw no closer.
Craig McGee was a force inside for the visitors, scoring 25 and grabbing 13 rebounds. Steffen Spinks added 19 points and 5 assists.
Cascade was led by Jason McCall's season high 20 points off the bench. Erving Adams chipped in with 15 points and 5 rebounds.
