CALDWELL, Idaho - A pair of Steffen Spinks three-pointers fueled a 15-2 College of Idaho run early in the second half, as the Coyotes remained a half-game out of first-place in the Cascade Conference with an 85-71 victory over Southern Oregon at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

After a Josh McDermott put-back pull the Raiders (7-15, 5-8 CCC) within 41-40 - the Yotes pushed the tempo, getting back-to-back Bryan Champ buckets and a three-point play from Craig McGee to push the lead to eight.  Spinks would hit a trey from the left corner to make it 51-40, and after a SOU basket, Champ hit a runner and Spinks canned a long three from the top of the key to cap the run.

Southern would claw within 67-62 on a Humphrey Jackson triple with eight minutes left - but could not get any closer.

Kelvin Potts led four players in double figures for the Coyotes (13-10, 9-4) with a season-high 26 points, with Spinks adding 19.  Champ had 13 points on a perfect 6-for-6 night from the field, to go with six steals, with McGee scoring 13 points with eight rebounds - ending his double-double streak at seven.  Jabari McIntosh had a season-high eight rebounds, to go with five points and six blocked shots.

Trevor McCay had a career-high 22 points for SOU, including four three-pointers, with Jackson adding a season-high 17 points.

The Yotes return to action tomorrow night, hosting No. 5 ranked Oregon Tech at 7:30 p.m.  The winner will join Warner Pacific atop the CCC standings.
