KANSAS CITY – A total of six Cascade Collegiate Conference basketball teams – four on the men’s side, two on the women’s – are ranked among the NAIA’s Top 25 teams in their respective polls, the national office announced Monday.

The men’s poll is led once again by defending national champion Oregon Tech, which held down the top spot for the fourth time in as many polls this season. The Owls, under the direction of veteran coach Danny Miles, are 15-1 overall and lead the CCC with a 5-1 ledger.

Concordia’s women’s team, owner of a 12-game win streak and the CCC leader with a 5-0 league record, made its 2008-09 Top 25 debut at the No. 20 position. The Cavaliers, who have fashioned the school’s longest winning streak in 20 years, are joined by CCC member College of Idaho, which is ranked 15th nationally. The Yotes are 13-1 overall and winners of 13 straight games.  Southern Oregon's women's team tallied 64 points in the poll and just missed cracking the Top 25.

Three other CCC men’s programs joined OIT in the Top 25 – No. 10 Warner Pacific, which moved up two spots; No. 15 Evergreen, which climbed one position; and No. 19 Eastern Oregon, which jumped up three spots. Northwest University received a vote in the poll.
