SALEM, Ore. – Tenth-year head coach Terry Williams and Corban's women's basketball team opened the New Year with a bang, as the signings of high school seniors Ashlyn Roos (Salem, Ore.) and Teagan LeBeau (Rocklin, Calif.) were announced earlier today.

These are the first two players that Coach Williams has signed for the 2009-10 season that will be added to a roster of ten returning players for next season.

"I am pleased with both signings," commented Williams. "Teagan and Ashlyn will add a lot to our team next season and possibly fill a void that we will encounter due to the graduation of two key seniors this season."

Roos, a current senior at nearby Sprague High School, averaged 8.5 points, 2.0 steals, and 2.0 assists per game as a junior en route to being named all-league honorable mention. Along with her all-league recognition, Roos was named the Olympians' Most Inspirational Player following her junior campaign as well as earning all-tournament team honors during the End of the Trail tournament in 2008.

LeBeau, a current senior at Whitney High School in Northern California, averaged 8.0 points, 4.2 steals, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists as a junior en route to earning All-Pioneer Valley League First Team honors. Besides her all-league honor, LeBeau also earned the team's Hustle Award following her junior campaign to go along with Wildcats' Defensive MVP after her sophomore season. A two-time team captain in 2008 & 2009, LeBeau was named to three all-tournament teams during her prep career that included a pair of Whitney Tournaments (2006 & 2008), as well as the Del Oro Tournament in 2006.

Both Roos and LeBeau are currently being coached by one of Coach Williams' children, as Roos is under the tuteledge of Williams' lone daugther, Allison, and LeBeau is learning under Williams' youngest son, Joel.

Corban is currently in the midst of the 2008-09 season, as the Warriors are 6-7 overall (2-3 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play).
