PORTLAND, Ore. – Due to flooding and avalanche conditions which have closed some major roadways in the state of Washington, the Cascade Collegiate Conference has adjusted the men’s and women’s basketball schedules for this weekend’s CCC games in Olympia and Kirkland.

Teams involved in the changes are Evergreen, Northwest, Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho.

The rescheduled games are contingent on EOU and C of I being able to travel to their destinations in Western Washington by bus on Friday. If the teams are unable to travel on Friday due to road closures, the CCC will reschedule all eight games for Feb. 9 and 10.

In addition to a 20-mile stretch of I-5 in Southwest Washington which has been closed due to flooding, the three major highways across the Cascades in the state of Washington are closed due to avalanches and mud slides.

The changes:

► Friday’s women’s and men’s games in Olympia between Evergreen and Eastern Oregon have been pushed back to Saturday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively.

► Friday’s women’s and men’s games in Kirkland between Northwest and College of Idaho have been pushed back to Saturday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively.

► The Evergreen-College of Idaho doubleheader, originally scheduled for Saturday in Olympia, will now be played on Sunday. The women’s game will tip off at 3 p.m., the men’s game will tip off at 5 p.m.

► The Northwest-Eastern Oregon doubleheader, originally scheduled for Saturday in Kirkland, will now be played on Monday. The women’s game will tip off at 4 p.m., the men’s game will tip of at 6 p.m.
