PORTLAND, Ore.— Lyndsey James of Elko, Nev., has signed to continue her education and compete for the Concordia University women’s golf team, Cavalier head coach Ronn Grove announced.

A multi-sport athlete, James has been a member of the Elko High School softball, golf and basketball teams. She was the Indian’s top golfer her final three seasons and earned two straight First-Team All-Desert League honors. James also holds the school record for most eagles and has tied the school mark for most birdies in a career. Lyndsey is the daughter of Jesse and Bob James of Elko, Nev.

“Lyndsey has been a leader throughout her high school career and will become a strong leader on our women’s golf team as well,” Grove said. “We are very pleased she has committed to Concordia.”

The Concordia women’s golf team is currently ranked No. 12 in the NAIA top 25 poll. Last season, the first under Grove, the Cavaliers placed 11th at the NAIA Championships after collecting a Cascade Collegiate Conference championship in the league’s inaugural title event.
