#5 Cavs End SOU's Win Streak
ASHLAND, ORE. -- The Southern Oregon women’s soccer team saw its four-match win streak come to an end today at the hands of fifth-ranked Concordia, 3-0 at University Field.
Concordia improved to 15-1 overall and remained perfect in Cascade Conference play with a 7-0 mark. Southern Oregon dropped to 6-8-1 overall and 4-3 in conference action.
Southern Oregon wraps up the regular season next weekend with key matches at Corban and Northwest Christian, as the Raiders look to get into the top four in the league standings and advance to the conference’s postseason tournament for the second straight year.
Concordia’s Jessica Ramback got the Cavs on the board early with an impressive one-on-one attack and score from eight yards out. Ten minutes later, Angie Turner received a perfect pass from Jenna Peterson to make the score 2-0.
In the second half, Kaitlyn Tebbs scored at the 51 minute mark to give Concordia the 3-0 advantage.
The Cavs came away with 22 shots and 12 shots on goal. Southern Oregon, playing with just two subs due to illness, had six shots and two shots on goal.
