PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific claimed the men's team title, while Northwest Christian won the women's side at the 9th Annual Warner Pacific Invitational at Westmoreland Park in Portland.

With the weather pleasant and cool for the women's 5k race, WPC's Kayla Perry took the individual title in 18:56. The Beacons' Stephanie Hescock and Brittany Arch were right behind in places 2 and 3, leading NCU to a low score of 31 as a team. NCU was followed by Warner Pacific (61), Corban College (64), Oregon Tech (69), and Evergreen State (122).

The skies opened up a downpour a few minutes into the men's 8k race which made for some soggy running conditions. Unattached runner Tahir Chakisso crossed the line first in 25:30. The top scoring runner was Caleb Goins from Corban College in 25:35. Karim Shakalia was the top finisher for Warner Pacific (3rd), leading the Knights to a low score of 35. Following WP were Corban (43), Northwest Christian (61), Evergreen State (104), and Oregon Tech (120).
