ASHLAND, ORE. -- The 12th-ranked Southern Oregon volleyball team won its 10th straight match with a 25-10, 25-14, 25-20 victory over Oregon Tech tonight at McNeal Pavilion.

Southern Oregon improved to 19-2 overall and 13-1 in Cascade Conference play and remained in a first place tie with College of Idaho. Oregon Tech dropped its sixth straight match and fell to 4-18 overall and 3-11 in conference play.

Junior Leah Bergstrom led Southern Oregon with 12 kills. Sarah Holgen had 10 kills for the Raiders. Becky Johnstone finished with 19 digs.

The Raiders busted out of the gates by hitting .409 and holding the Owls to a -.080 attack percentage.

For the match, SOU hit .343 and held the Owls to a .063 attack percentage.

Megan Christensen led OIT with 11 kills.

The Raiders have now defeated their arch-rivals 13 straight times and have won 21 of the last 22. Oregon Tech last won in the rivalry in 2005.
