PORTLAND, Ore. –Needing a win to stay on pace for a share of the regular season conference crown, Concordia defeated Eastern Oregon 4-0 at Delta Park to finish as co-champions of the Cascade Collegiate Conference. 

Concordia ended the regular season with a 16-2-0 overall record and a 8-1-0 mark in CCC play. Also playing in Portland on Saturday, College of Idaho defeated Warner Pacific 1-0 to share the regular season title with the Cavs. C of I earned the No.1 seed and home-field advantage in the CCC tournament with a win over CU and will host fourth-seeded Oregon Tech in a first-round contest.

Concordia will host No. 3-seed Corban in their opening round match on Oct. 31. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Delta Park.

CU senior Jessica Ramback (Mill Creek, Wash.) got the Cavalier offense rolling in the first half with an unassisted goal in the 11th minute and an assist to teammate Kaitlyn Tebbs (Bend, Ore.) in the 15th minute to give the home side a 2-0 first-half lead.

Freshman Indigo Recker (Portland, Ore.) put the Cavs up 3-0 with a strike after a feed by Angie Turner (Salem, Ore.) in the 63rd minute while Ramback closed out the game’s scoring with a blast in the 73rd minute off an assist from Tebbs.

The two scores marked Ramback’s 13th and 14th goals of the season to stretch her lead in the CCC statistics. Ramback how has 64 career goals and is ranked third all-time in the CU history books. She enters the postseason two goals back from former Cavalier great Justine Pronovost.

In goal for the Cavaliers, Georgie Christensen (Hillsboro, Ore.) collected two saves to preserve the shutout, the team’s 10th of the season.

Allison Seymour (Spokane, Wash.) and Colby Smits (Spokane, Wash.) split time in front of the net for Eastern Oregon (4-9-0, 4-5 CCC) with each allowing a pair of scores. Smits stopped six shots while Seymour turned back five attempts.

Offensively, Courtney Gaskill (Caldwell, Idaho) generated the lone two shot attempts for the Mountaineers, both of which went as on goal.
