PORTLAND, Ore. - Andrew Scott and Carlos Pehr hooked up for two first half goals to spark Warner Pacific over Corban College 3-0 today in CCC men's soccer action.

After a 90 minute delay due to a scheduling mix-up with the officials, the Knights struck early. 4:14 into the match, Scott fired a flip throw from the left side into the penalty area. Nearly scoring a goal himself, the throw hit the crossbar and bounced to Pehr, who tucked it neatly into the net with a header.

Scott and Pehr combined again in the 35th minute with a near carbon copy of their first goal. A flip throw service from the left side by Scott found the head of Pehr directly this time, and he found his mark past Warrior keeper Aaron Franklin.

Moments earlier and between the Pehr scores, Alija Sacirovic scored his 6th goal of the year. The sophomore looped a short header over Franklin after a Pehr shot attempt was deflected by the Corban defense.

Though the scoreboard was all Knights (3-0) at the half, it very nearly was a close game. The Warriors' Kaleb Herring blasted a 20 yard shot in the 9th minute that Knight keeper Sean Ervin tipped away at the last moment. Another quality chance was an Aaron Paulson header in the 35th minute that clanged off the left post.

WPC held the advantage in total shots 17-6. Each team generated 7 corner kicks.

With the win, Warner Pacific moves to 7-3-0 overall and 6-1-1 in the CCC standings. Corban falls to 1-8-1 overall and 0-7-0 in CCC play.
