PORTLAND, Ore.—With the top four individuals on the leaderboard, the Concordia women’s golf team easily took home the Concordia Invite title held at Heron Lakes Golf Course on Monday.

Concordia (320-293—613) fired a school-record 5-over in the second round of play to finish with more than a 100-stroke advantage over runner-up College of Idaho (368-350—718). Northwest Christian (358-374—732), 14 strokes back of the Yotes, finished in third place while Corban and Warner Pacific fielded incomplete squads.

After the first round of play, CU’s Lindsay Aho (79-71—150) and Kim Lindow (79-76—155) shared second place behind the tournament leader from NCU, Ashley King (75-85—160), but Aho carded a 1-under 71 in the second round to tie her own school record and take medalist honors by three strokes over teammate Madeline Jarrett (81-72—153). Jarrett used an even-par 72 to jump two places to second overall. Lindow finished in a tie for third with CU’s Sara Taylor (81-74—155).

King fell to fifth place with a one-stroke lead over College of Idaho’s Cecilia Garcia (83-78—161). Haley Thomas (87-90—177), who tied for eighth place, led Corban and Bailey Thomas (101-84—185) who led Warner Pacific, tied for tenth place.

A third round of action took place on Tuesday morning as part of the Cavalier Classic. Concordia (320-293-314—927) fired the low score of the round for the third straight time to take the team title ahead of Rocky Mountain (324-322-333—979). Victoria (334-320-332—986) finished in third place and NCU (358-366-370—1,094) placed fourth overall. Eleven strokes back of the Beacons, College of Idaho (368-350-387—1,105) rounded out the CCC schools in the team standings in fifth place.

Concordia scorers filled four of the top five spots with Victoria’s Anne Balser (76-77-81—234) interrupting the foursome in fourth place. Aho (79-71-76—226) claimed the individual championship b six strokes as the Cavalier duo of Lindow (79-76-77—232) and Taylor (81-74-77—232) tied for second. Jarrett 81-72-84—237) finished in fifth place.

Garcia (83-78-85—246) tied for ninth to guide the Yotes and King (75-85-88—248) concluded the tourney in a tie for 11th as NCU’s leader.
