Eastern Oregon University announced the signing of three athletes to Cascade Collegiate College letters of intent to participate in women's soccer beginning in the fall of 2010.

Ashlie Nation is currently a senior at Arbor View High school in Las Vegas, Nev.

"We are thrilled that Ashlie is joining the EOU family" Director of Athletics Rob Cashell said. "Her athleticism and soccer ability will help our team greatly as we look to improve our standings in the tough CCC."

Nation intends on studying early childhood education while at EOU. She is the daughter of Lisa and Patrick Nation.

Twin sisters, Jordann and Erika Whitehurst, of Bend, Ore., signed their letters early this week.

"We are all very excited that Jordann and Erika will be continuing their academic and athletic careers at EOU." Director of Athletics Rob Cashell said. "They both have been heavily recruited and we feel fortunate to have players of their ability join our program and provide instant help."

Both plan on pursuing a degree in Nursing at EOU. Erika and Jordann are the daughters of parents Dana and Tim Whitehurst.
