Oregon Tech Falls in Overtime Battle

ROCKLIN, California – Despite a career high 27 points from Joseph Foster (Jr. – Las Vegas, Nevada) the Hustlin’ Owls fell in overtime to the Lancers of California Baptist 86-79 in the second game of the 4th annual Warrior Classic hosted by William Jessup University.

Oregon Tech (4-1) missed three of four free-throws down the stretch in regulation allowing California Baptist (4-0) to tie the game and force the decisive overtime. Oregon Tech controlled the game leading for 38 of the 40 minutes. The largest lead for Oregon Tech was 11 points and that came midway through the first half.

California Baptist controlled the overtime from start to finish, winning the tip then outscoring Tech 17-10 to give the Lancers the win.

Besides Foster’s career high 27 points, Justin Parnell (Sr. – Sutherlin, Oregon) finished with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Myles Daley (Sr. – Medford, Oregon) added 10 points with 6 rebounds. Andy Siverly (Sr. – Merced, California) led the Hustlin’ Owls with 9 rebounds and chipped in 8 points in the loss.

California Baptist was led by Larry Dew (Jr. - San Bernardino, California) and Kelly Johnson (Jr. – Pomona, California) each scoring 24 points in the win.
