WPC-CU Clash in Men's Soccer Tourney Finale
PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific and Concordia will meet for the third time this season Saturday afternoon in the Cascade Collegiate Conference men’s soccer tournament championship game, with the winner securing the league’s automatic bid to the NAIA Championships.
The 32-team NAIA tournament field will be announced Sunday afternoon. Opening-round games will be Saturday, Nov. 21. The 15 first-round winners will join tournament host Fresno Pacific in the final 16 Dec. 1-6 in Fresno, Calif.
The Knights, 12-4-1 overall and CCC regular season titlist with an 11-2-1 record in conference play, defeated the Cavs 2-1 Oct. 17. Concordia, 13-5-1 overall and 11-3 in CCC play, defeated the Knights 2-1 on Sept. 19.
The CCC tournament championship game will be played at David Douglas High School, beginning at 1 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
