LA GRANDE, Ore. - A 23-4 run to open up the second half paved the way for The College of Idaho, as the Lady Yotes knocked off Willamette University, 68-47, tonight at Quinn Coliseum.

The C of I (2-2) shot just 23-percent in the first half and converted just 8-of-18 free throws - yet held a 28-21 lead at the break, forcing the Division III Bearcats into 19 turnovers. Nicole Gall hit a pair of treys and Nicole Bruce added back-to-back buckets in the run to put the game away.

It marks the third-straight win for the Lady Yotes over Willamette (0-1) - all by double-digit margins.

Gall led all scorers with 21 points, to go along with 12 rebounds and five assists. Bruce added 15 points and seven rebounds, with Katie Strunk scoring six, but pulling down a career-high 13 boards.

Kaileigh Westermann led the 'Cats with nine points and nine rebounds, with Alex Zennan adding eight points, nine rebounds, and eight assist.

The Lady Yotes return to action next weekend, hosting the Best Western Caldwell Inn and Suites Lady Yote Classic, meeting Whitman on Friday night and Puget Sound on Saturday.
