NEWBERG, Ore. –No. 4 George Fox (3-0), the defending NCAA-DIII National Champions, did not waste any time going after their 35th win in row playing host to Oregon Tech (3-5) at the Wheeler Sports Center Sunday afternoon. The Bruins took a 26-13 lead at the 10 minute mark in the first half and never looked back, winning 82-64.

Oregon Tech outscored George Fox 42-38 in the second half but that was not nearly enough to overcome the 22 point halftime deficit. In the first half the Bruins outscored Tech 44-22 as the Hustlin’ Owls turned the ball over 16 times.

George Fox used a balanced attack with 9 players scoring 5 points or more. The Bruins were led by Keisha Gordon (Vancouver, WA) who had 14 points and a team high 8 rebounds.

Oregon Tech was led in scoring by Kelsey New (Winston, OR) who dropped in 14 points off the bench with Aundrea Albright (Central Point, OR) scoring 12 points and a double-double from Brittany Cherry (Pasco, WA) grabbing a team high 10 rebounds with 11 points.

Oregon Tech returns home after the Thanksgiving break, hosting Cal-Maritime Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Danny Miles Court with a high noon scheduled tip-off.
