LA GRANDE, Ore. -- The Eastern Oregon University women’s soccer team signed another recruit for its 2010 roster, Sarah Hiden.

The Bethel High School standout in Spanaway, Wash., signed a letter of intent to play for the Mountaineers next season. Hiden an All-Area Honorable Mention midfielder for Bethel, is excited to take the field at EOU.

“I love the Eastern Oregon University campus,” Hiden said. “I love all the girls on the team. It’s just a great environment to be around.”

The Bellville, Ill. native, would like to major in Psychology at Eastern and hopes to be a criminal investigator. Hiden has already taken college courses at Pierce College and will be a sophomore at EOU academically.

Hiden’s family is no stranger to collegiate athletics as her two cousins, Mikey and Kyle ran cross country for nationally elite, Mount Mercy College of Iowa. Sarah ran track at Bethel for two years.

“I am very pleased that Sarah will be joining EOU soccer,” Eastern Athletic Director Rob Cashell said. “She is very versatile athletically and will bring tremendous skill and leadership qualities to our team.”
