4 CCC Teams Ranked in NAIA Top 25 Polls
PORTLAND, Ore. – Four Cascade Collegiate Conference teams – two in women’s soccer and two in volleyball – are ranked among the NAIA’s Top 25, according to weekly polls released Tuesday by the national office.
In women’s soccer, Concordia climbed one spot to the No. 6 position in this week’s listing. The Cavaliers, who lead the nation in victories (17), have been ranked among the nation’s top seven all season. Joining CU in the Top 25 for the second consecutive week is College of Idaho, which moved up two spots to the No. 20 position. Concordia and College of Idaho will meet Saturday in the CCC Tournament finale for the automatic bid to the NAIA Championships.
In volleyball, CCC co-leaders College of Idaho (No. 8) and Southern Oregon (No. 12) retained their poll positions from last week. The Yotes, who have held the eighth position for four consecutive weeks, have been ranked among the nation’s top 10 for eight consecutive polls. The Raiders are listed No. 12 for the fourth consecutive week.
In men’s soccer, Concordia and Warner Pacific are receiving votes.
Cross country polls will be released Wednesday.
