CU's Lindow Named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Volleyball Team
PORTLAND, Ore.—Concordia University senior Kim Lindow was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District College Division volleyball team.
The team is selected by a vote of the College Sports Information Directors of America. Lindow, an education major from Gresham, Ore., was one of seven student-athlete selected to the District 8 second team with a 3.86 cumulative grade-point average. District 8 is comprised of all college and universities in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and British Columbia. Lindow was the lone Cascade Collegiate Conference honoree among the 20 student-athletes selected to the three District 8 teams.
To be eligible for CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-America® honors, student-athletes must have a 3.20 or better cumulative GPA on a 4-point scale, have sophomore athletic standing, and be a starter or key reserve for their team.
Lindow has been a four-year player for the Cavaliers in both volleyball and golf. Last week, Lindow set the all-time school record in career digs and is ranked third all-time with 121 aces. She also holds the school record in games played at 405. On the links, Lindow has been a member of two Cascade Collegiate Conference championships as well as four NAIA National Championship clubs.
