PORTLAND, Ore. – Five Knights scored in double figures led by Jake Glisson’s 18 as Warner Pacific posted a 90-71 win over Linfield tonight in non-conference play at C.C. Perry Gym.

Glisson did all of his damage in the first half, hitting 5 of 9 shot attempts, including three from long range, and making 5 of 9 free throws.

The early action of the game saw the visiting Wildcats as the aggressor as Linfield worked for several easy baskets and built a 19-12 lead at 12:33. Marcel Smith entered the game soon after and proceeded to score seven straight points for WP and push the Knights to a 23-21 lead.

In the last moments of the half, Reggie Guyton knocked in a three pointer to send the Knights into the locker rooms with a 45-32 advantage.

After the break, Warner Pacific opened the second period with a 10-0 run to claim their largest lead of the game at 55-32. Linfield fought back however, and looked to make it a contest by cutting the WP lead down to ten (59-49) with 11:27 to play.

Timely scoring and solid defense down the stretch by the Knights kept Linfield at bay however, and WP pulled away for the 19 point victory.

In addition to Glisson’s 18 points Marcel Smith (16), Reggie Guyton (12), Kaylone Riley (11), and Webster Moreland (11) all score in double figures. Riley also had a game high 12 rebounds.

Linfield was led by Cody Tesoro with 13 points. Von Weber added 10.

The Knights improve to 7-3 on the season. Linfield drops to 1-5.
