KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Oregon Tech Lady Owls came out of the gates with a 14-2 run and did not look back, defeating Pacific Union in tonight’s non-conference game 82-43.
Oregon Tech is now 8-6 on the season and will take a 1-1 conference record to College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon University this weekend. Pacific Union drops to 3-7 overall after the loss.
It took almost four minutes into the game for PUC took their first and only lead of the game, 2-0, before the Owls quickly moved out to a 14-2 lead.
A Kellie Morey trey put the Owls up by 17, but six straight from the visitors cut the Owls lead to 25-14 with 5:20 remaining in the half.
Tech closed out the first period with an 11-2 run to head to intermission with a 19 point advantage, their largest of the half, 35-16.
Colleen Hunt capped a 17-6 Owl run to open the second period as Oregon Tech took a 30 point advantage, 53-23, with 11:52 remaining in the game. Pacific Union would never close the gap, as the Owls moved on to an 82-43 over Pacific Union, in the last non-conference game of the season.
11 Owls got into the scoring column, led by 18 from Lisa Busch. Sophomore post Aundrea Albright ended the evening with the games only double-double adding 10 points and 12 rebounds.
