3 CCC Members in NAIA Directors' Cup Top 20
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Led by College of Idaho and Concordia, three Cascade Collegiate Conference institutions are ranked among the Top 20 in the latest Learfield Sports Directors' Cup rankings.
The Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's national finish in up to 14 sports -- seven women’s and seven men’s.
College of Idaho, which has top 10 NAIA finishes in three sports (women's cross country, volleyball, and men's cross country) leads all CCC institutions in the latest ranking. The Yotes rank seventh with 193 points. Fellow CCC member Concordia is listed No. 8; the Cavaliers have a third-place NAIA finish in women's soccer, a 12th place finish in women's cross country, and a 13th-place finish in men's cross country.
Southern Oregon is ranked 20th with 127.7 points. The Raiders have a third-place finish in men's cross country and a 25th place finish in volleyball.
Simon Fraser has totaled 260 points and leads No. 2 Azusa Pacific (231 points).
