CALDWELL, Idaho - Craig McGee recorded his 25th career double-double, scoring 24 points with 14 rebounds, as The College of Idaho withstood a second half Southern Oregon rally, topping the Raiders, 87-78, inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The win for the Coyotes (6-5, 2-2 CCC) was their fourth in a row and their eighth-straight against the Raiders, dating back to 2006.

The Yotes used a 15-1 run late in the first half to build a 49-34 lead at the break, extending the margin to 20 on a Matt Ballenger three-pointer with 16-minutes remaining. However, Southern (8-5, 0-4) responded with a 15-3 run of their own, including ten points from Jarrad Childs, to close within 61-55 with 11:30 left. The Raiders would get within five on a Childs trey with seven minutes to go, but the Yotes went to McGee, who scored six-straight points to put the game out of reach.

The senior tied his own school record with 23 free throw attempts in the game, while converting 16 – just one off the school mark set in 1995.

Kelvin Potts had 19 points and five assists, with Jabari McIntosh and Steve Peres each scoring ten, as the Yotes finished 29-of-41 from the foul line.

Childs led SOU with a game-high 26 points, with Joe White and Humphrey Jackson each scoring 11. Austin Wolfer led the Raiders with ten rebounds.

The Coyotes will return to action on the final two days of 2009, traveling to Portland for games at Warner Pacific and Concordia.
